Episode Notes
Hello to you in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.
Here’s a question: How come we hold on to things?
I was thinking of this the other day while standing at a window of my home and watching the newest set of twin fawns in the neighborhood. My guess is that they were pretty new; the smaller of the two maybe a day or so old. Watching mom graze in the sunlight while the older twin ran circles around the yard and younger kept poking mom to be fed I could feel myself let go, melt even.
What was I holding on to? Stress, fear, uncertainty, maybe resentment, too much work, too little time, not enough resources, you name it. And yet I have everything I need and want; although maybe some hasn’t manifested yet.
Question: How come we hold on to things? Maybe it’s because when the time comes we get to lay them down.
