Motivate Your Monday: Demonstrate Being a Trusted Professional
by Diane Wyzga | January 10, 2022 | 60 Seconds, Podcast | 0 comments
Hello to you Marilyn Wyzga and Steve Schuch listening in Hillsborough, New Hampshire!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday.
Question: How might we demonstrate being a trusted professional?
First. Model integrity, discretion, curiosity, deep listening in conversation for the emotional meaning not just facts, patience with and sensitivity to the process of engaging with people.
Second. Engage with people you want to get to know as people and nurture those relationships over time. In time some people will become friends, colleagues and clients.
Third. Practice consistency. Whether you podcast, blog or engage on social media platforms be present consistently with good work, good words, and good resources.
Finally. Market consciously with awareness. Know your mindset as well as your skillset. Offer to fill a need, a desire, even relieve a pain point. People will begin to trust that you know what you’re about and how you can be of use to better their world.
Question: How else might we, as professionals, demonstrate that we can be a trusted partner?
