60 Seconds: Whidbey Island Rocks!
by Diane Wyzga | December 28, 2020 | 60 Seconds, Podcast | 0 comments
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.
The other day I took a new trail through the woods at Ebey’s Landing. The white paint caught my eye. There in the craggy bark of a very old Douglas Fir was a rock. Not just any rock; but a painted rock. A snowman with a red hat and a green scarf. I reached up to take the unexpected gift. Christmas Elves?
Almost. Whidbey Island Rocks is a kindness rocks group based here on my island and dedicated to creating serendipitous moments for locals and visitors. The members paint rocks which they tuck away all over the island for you to find just when you need a little magic. It really works that way. I know.
This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories – stay for the magic. Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
