Episode Notes
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.
For 8 power-packed days I Zoomed in with a global family of story workers and Mary Alice Arthur on the power and practice of story based on her newly launched book, 365 ALIVE! Find Your Voice. Claim Your Story. Live Your Brilliant Life.
On the 7th day author and consultant Peter Block (along with writer Christina Baldwin) shared their story activism thoughts with us. Block said, “If you can’t say ‘no’ (to what’s wrong) then your ‘yes’ doesn’t mean anything.”
Another way of putting it: “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.” ~ Desmond Tutu
Question: To what are you saying “No!”?
