Episode Notes
Hello to you in Abergavenny, Wales!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.
Hiking out here in the Pacific Northwest one must be prepared for the unexpected weather changes from bright sunshine to battering torrential thunderstorms. You can stomp around and make all the furious gestures you want; but it won’t help you get warm, dry and safe.
You know what I mean because you have an adventurer’s heart. Would you believe that we can apply an adventurer’s mentality to our own daily lives? It’s true! The simplest act of welcoming, rolling with and accepting what comes our way can make the difference between life and death, happiness and suffering whether it is the unexpected torrential downpour washing out our hiking trail or facing up to the difficult situation in our work space.
Let’s all of us give this a go: begin to treat our lives like a grand tour, a world-class adventure and see what shows up when we do.
This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories – stay for the magic.
