60 Seconds For Time Out Tuesday: Walking and Breathing Meditation to Calm Mind and Body
by Diane Wyzga | December 7, 2021 | 60 Seconds, Podcast | 0 comments
Hello to you listening in Budapest, Hungary!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday with your host Diane Wyzga.
Perhaps like me you might function some days on auto-pilot. Ever had the sensation that you’ve driven your car home but had no real idea how you got there?
Practical Tip: The next time you walk – even if it’s just around your home or office space – be aware of placing first one foot gently on the ground, the floor, the earth and then your other foot. Keep going. As you walk in this gentle peaceful manner be aware of your in-breath and out-breath.
When we practice walking and breathing meditation, we let go of any need to accomplish anything but walking and breathing. In this way we calm our body and calm our mind.
This invitation to walk and breathe is available to us any moment of the day. It’s a very good use of time.
Question: How does it feel to be steady and calm in the midst of your busyness?
60 Seconds is your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that. This is the place to thrive together.
