Episode Notes
Hello to you listening in Charlottesville, Virginia!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga
Maybe like me you know how it feels to hit the wall. Fatigue, loss of energy, negativity, or lack of enthusiasm when you’ve used up whatever it is that’s been holding you up. Maybe you ask yourself: Does anybody care? What is this for? Who is this for? What’s the point? You have two options: stand and stagnate or figure out how to move over, under, around, or through the wall.
How do I do it? I step back. I go for a walk – maybe a few walks. I think about a time when I was working as a shepherd on a fiber farm on the outskirts of Charlottesville, Virginia. While there I met a fellow named Joe who raised organic goats for meat. Many of his customers came from the D.C Beltway area; they were quite happy to pay good money for quality food.
But Joe hit the wall selling goat meat from his farm. He wanted to venture out and educate people about the value of eating what he raised: food that’s organic, sustainable, humanely harvested, no junk in the feed, and lots of pasture to graze. But he didn’t know how to begin. Or where to begin. Now what? Join us tomorrow for Part 2.
