Hello to you listening in Sparta, New Jersey!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga.
“Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly but the bumblebee doesn’t know that so it goes on flying anyway.” [Mark Kay Ash]
How often do we get caught up in our ego, our expectations of what we can or can’t do based on the next fellow or gal’s accomplishments. The next fellow or gal doesn’t matter.
To keep me on an even keel and headed toward my own horizon I find grace and courage in these words from M.F.K. Fisher because when I pay attention I know they are true:
“I am more modest now, but I still think that one of the pleasantest of all emotions is to know that I, I with my brain and my hands, have nourished my beloved few, that I have concocted a stew or a story, a rarity or a plain dish, to sustain them truly against the hungers of the world.” [M.F.K. Fisher]
