Episode Notes
Hello to you in Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.
In our prehistoric days when we had to face down a woolly mammoth with a spear our bodies flooded with stress hormones: pounding heart, rapid breathing, tense muscles. Today we rarely face wild animal physical danger, but our bodies respond to challenging situations in the same way.
Practical Tip: Guided imagery is a relaxation technique we can use to relax and reduce stress in just 10 minutes time. Here’s how.
Sit comfortably.
Close your eyes and breathe easily.
Imagine a place or experience that’s feels pleasant, soothing, comforting. Settle in as if you’re there. Really there. Engage the senses and just be.
When thoughts come let them go like clouds in the sky.
This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories – stay for the magic. Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, follow, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, including Android, and join us next time!
