Episode Notes
Hello to you listening in Faridabad, India!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday and your host, Diane Wyzga.
I came across this line by Anne Carson:
“I will never know how you see red and
you will never know how I see it.”
I continued to think about why this line stayed with me. This line stayed with me because it asked for something more.
Here is the something more: “I will never know how you see red and you will never know how I see it.” And yet, and yet we know enough, we know enough the color red to say: “I see it, too. I see it with you.”
Perhaps ‘seeing with’ is the best we can hope for.
Question: How might we see with another’s eyes?
