Hello to you Dane McCormack listening in Canberra, Australia!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday with your host, Diane Wyzga.

The other night fierce winds and rain came rip-roaring down the Strait of San Juan de Fuca taking out trees and power on the island as well as blocking roadways, causing landslides and making a general mess of things. For the past several days we’ve had to rely on generator power during the day and adjusting to cooler indoor temperatures and candlelight for the nighttime. It’s always something, right? I don’t need to remind anyone who’s listening because you’ve been there with your own troubles. Now what?

I don’t know how electricity works. I can’t see it until it shows up in a lightbulb; but I believe it’s there.

I don’t know how faith works; but I believe in ”the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” [Hebrews 11 King James version] because faith has helped me hang on through many a wretched spot.

What I do know is this: there are opportunities yet to manifest; what they are, where they will come from, or even how they will arrive is yet to be seen.

Practical Tip. When you’re feeling like there’s no hope for it – no matter the reason – hang on. “When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” [Harriet Beecher Stowe]

How do I know? I don’t. But it does. Guaranteed!
